SAET won an international tender funded by the European Investment Bank for an EPC contract for a Battery Energy Storage System to be installed on the Cape Verdean island of Sal. The aim of the project is to increase the penetration of renewables on the island and, thanks to the energy reserve granted by the storage system, to increase the production of the “Caba Eolica” wind farm on the island.

SAET has built a new MV sorting station on the island, installing the new BESS at it. We will also support Electra for the next two years in the operation and management of the system.
